Professional Workbook Studio
Create, format, and inspect professional Excel workbooks locally
Your input stays in this browser while it is processed.
What does this calculator do?
Create useful Excel workbooks from deterministic templates or format an existing workbook locally while preserving business values.
Inputs
- A workbook template and optional company, currency, period, and language settings
- Optional XLSX, XLS, or CSV file to inspect and format
Outputs
- A styled XLSX workbook with formulas, frozen headers, filters, and clear input areas
- A deterministic handover summary of sheets, formulas, links, and ranges
Formula and method
The browser XLSX engine builds worksheets and formulas locally. Formatting is applied to presentation metadata; source cell values are not silently rewritten. Formula and structural inspection is deterministic.
Worked example
Choose the 13-week cash-flow template, set USD and a company name, then open the generated workbook in Excel or Apple Numbers.
How to interpret the result
Blue cells indicate intended inputs, green cells indicate calculated or total values, and the Instructions/Settings sheets document the generated structure.
Common mistakes
- Treating a formatting pass as an accounting review
- Overwriting the original file instead of reviewing the generated copy
- Expecting unsupported Excel macros or external links to be executed locally
Assumptions
- The target spreadsheet application supports standard XLSX formulas and formatting
- Formula results may recalculate when opened in Excel or Numbers
- No business meaning is inferred from labels or values
Limitations
- Macros, proprietary add-ins, and complex external connections are not executed
- The analyzer reports structure rather than validating accounting policy
- Very large workbooks are bounded by browser memory
Frequently asked questions
Does the workbook leave my device?
No. Template generation and supported workbook analysis run locally in the browser.
Will formulas be real Excel formulas?
Yes. Formula cells are written as worksheet formulas, not as renamed text.
